In view of the increasing nature of tension between India and Pakistan, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan held a meeting with the Chief Secretaries of the states adjacent to Pakistan on Saturday night through a video conference. The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the security system amid increasing tension on the border. According to sources, the Home Secretary asked all the Chief Secretaries to be cautious and activate the civil defense system in their respective states. He also said that if there is any firing or attack from across the border, then keep complete preparations to deal with it.

Pakistan broke the agreement
Let me tell you that this meeting took place at a time when Pakistan violated the firing and mutual consent to stop firing and military action on the border between the two countries on Saturday itself. According to sources, there have been reports of firing in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan. In view of the situation, the central government has asked the border states to be on alert and preparations have been intensified to deal with any emergency.

Foreign Secretary gave information
Regarding the violation of the ceasefire, Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian said that there was an agreement between India and Pakistan’s DGMO to stop the action that has been going on for the last few days on Saturday evening. For the last few hours, this agreement has been violated by Pakistan. The Indian Army is retaliating and dealing with this limit encroachment.

The declaration of ceasefire was announced
It is worth noting that earlier the ceasefire between India Pakistan was confirmed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt. Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian had said that the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan called the Indian DGMO at 3:35 pm on Saturday. It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all kinds of firing and military action in the land, wind and sea from 1700 pm Indian standard time.
