Due to the earthquake that occurred in Tibet region of China on Tuesday morning, 95 people have lost their lives and a large number of people have been injured. The injured are being treated in a nearby hospital. According to media reports, more than 100 people have been injured by the earthquake and many buildings have been destroyed.

Following news of the devastating earthquake that struck Dingri, Tibet on Tuesday morning, Tibetan spiritual leader the 14th Dalai Lama expressed deep sorrow over the disaster. Sharing a message, he said that I am deeply saddened to learn about the devastating earthquake that hit Tibet and its surrounding areas this morning.
This resulted in the loss of many lives, many injuries and extensive damage to houses and properties. The Dalai Lama concluded his message by saying, “I pray for those who have lost their lives and wish the speedy recovery of those who have been injured.”
