Linking PAN (Permanent Account Number) and Aadhaar card has now been made mandatory by the Government of India. According to the Government of India, it is necessary for all the people in the country who file Income Tax Return to link PAN and Aadhaar by March 31, 2022. If you have not linked the PAN number with your Aadhar card, then your PAN card will become invalid and you will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 as a fine for this, such a provision has been made by the government. How to link your PAN with Aadhaar card

Income Tax E-Filing Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ Visit at.
Register yourself on the website here, if you have not already done so. After that fill your PAN card number, which will also be your user ID.
Now log in with user ID, password and date of birth. If you do not have an account then you will have to create one first.
After logging in, a pop-up window will appear in which you will be asked to link PAN with Aadhaar. If you don’t see a pop, in the menu bar Profile Settings On reaching Link Aadhaar Click on.
Here details like name, date of birth and gender etc. will already be given as per your PAN.
Now you will have to verify the details given on Aadhaar with PAN details. Note here that if any information does not match then you will have to get it corrected in one of the documents.
If the details given in both the documents match then enter your Aadhaar number and link now Click on the button.
You will get to know through a pop-up message that your Aadhaar has been successfully linked to PAN.
